Overview
The Himalayan Xtri Solo Point Five is a half-distance extreme triathlon and an official XTRI World Tour partner event. The race combines a 1.9-kilometer open-water swim on Phewa Lake, a 90-kilometer bike ride through the Himalayan foothills, and a 21-kilometer off-road trail run finishing at the Panchase viewpoint.
The Himalayan Solo Point Five Race Package is built around the race itself. Before you reach the start line, you'll inspect the full 90 km bike course by private vehicle, with the option to ride sections, and preview the 21 km run course on foot. During this preparation, you'll spend a night near Panchase and hike up to Panchase Peak at 2,500 meters, so you get plenty of time on the course before race day.
This package helps you show up ready, not just early. You'll get to know the roads and trails before the race and experience the hills around Pokhara. You'll also visit the Pumdikot Shiva Statue and the World Peace Pagoda as part of your preparation.
What Makes This Different
The Race: You'll swim 1.9 km across Phewa Lake, ride 90 km through the Himalayan foothills with roughly 2,400 m of elevation gain, then take on a 21 km off-road run through forest, farmland, and mountain trails toward the Panchase viewpoint.
The Preparation: You'll inspect the full bike course by vehicle, with chances to ride parts of it yourself. You'll also hike the actual course with a guide, so you can get to know the climbs, terrain, and key sections before race day.
The Place: You'll spend a night near Panchase, hike up to Panchase Peak at 2,500 meters, and walk through the forest toward Bhumdi. Off the main tourist paths, you'll discover peaceful mountain trails, small villages, and a side of Nepal most visitors miss.
The People: You'll travel through local villages and mountain communities along the classic Panchase route. You'll also visit the Pumdikot Shiva Statue and the World Peace Pagoda to experience local culture.
